Macroeconomics seeks tutors

The professorship is seeking tutors (student assistants / scientific assistants) for the course "Macroeconomics" for the winter semester 2025/2026.

Are you interested in markets, prices and economic policy? Do you enjoy passing on your knowledge and helping other students to better understand macroeconomic relationships? We are looking for you!

The Chair of Macroeconomics (WiWi Faculty) is looking to fill several positions as tutors in winter semester 2025/26.


Your tasks:

- Independent preparation of the tutorials (detailed slides with solutions are available).

- Conducting two tutorials (90 minutes each)

- Answering students' content-related questions by email or during a consultation hour

- Assistance with exam supervision and exam inspection.

What you need to bring:

- Successfully completed the course "Macroeconomics" with a grade of 2.3 or better

- preferably other courses with an economic focus.

Scope and salary:

The advertised positions involve employment of six hours per week for the period from 01.10.2025 to 31.03.2026, whereby only the tutorials themselves have a fixed schedule. Payment is based on the tariff specifications of the state of NRW and amounts to €13.25/hour for students without a bachelor's degree and €15.50/hour for students with a bachelor's degree.
